Get named in AI answers.
When a buyer asks ChatGPT which tool to pick, AppearsIn shows whether you are named, finds the Reddit threads behind the answer, and drafts the reply. You approve it, and it posts from your own Reddit account.

Buying question
What is the best tool for scheduling a small dental practice?
Perplexity cites a Reddit thread for this question. That thread is where the next reply goes.

The problem
Buyers now ask an assistant before they search. The answer names a few brands, and most teams cannot tell whether theirs is one of them.
You cannot see it
Whether ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity names you changes from question to question and week to week. Without a fixed list of questions, you are guessing.
Reddit shapes the answer
Reddit is one of the most cited sources in AI answers. Finding the threads that rank for your buyers' questions and writing a good reply for each takes hours a week by hand.
The shortcuts are risky
Bulk posting, vote buying and fake accounts get brands banned and called out. A slow, honest reply from a real account is what communities accept.
How it works
Three steps, and you stay in charge of the last one.
Tell us what buyers ask
Paste your site. One model call reads it and proposes your questions, competitors, communities and a voice. You edit the list before anything is saved.
See the answers and the threads
Each question is checked on seven AI engines, and the Reddit threads that rank on Google for it are found, scored for fit and given a drafted reply in your voice.
Approve and post
Read each draft and press Use this. The extension posts it from your own Reddit account on a button press, or automatically within limits you set. Copy and open is the by-hand path.
One question, end to end
From a buyer's question to a posted reply
Take the question a dental practice manager might ask an assistant. AppearsIn runs it, finds where the answer comes from, and gets you into that conversation without a pitch.
- Checks the question on ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark, and records who is named, in what order and with what wording.
- Reads the cited sources and lists the Reddit threads the engines rely on.
- Searches Google for the Reddit threads that rank for the same question and keeps those that fit, with a match percent and a reason.
- Writes one draft per thread in your voice, with no product name until the account has some history.
- Waits for you. Edit, rewrite or skip. Nothing posts on its own unless you turn automatic posting on.
- Posts and records it from your own account, then checks each day that the comment is still live.

Beyond Reddit
It listens across the web, too
AI answers draw on more than one thread. Each week AppearsIn searches Google for your name, your alternate spellings and each competitor, on Reddit and across the web, and keeps every result that actually names them, with a sentiment: positive, neutral or negative.
For your own brand it also looks at the places people compare and review software: X, YouTube, Quora and Hacker News, blogs on Medium, Substack and dev.to, and directories and review sites such as Product Hunt, G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and AlternativeTo.
- See who is talking about you and about your rivals, and where
- Spot a question that names a competitor, and answer it
- Turn a Reddit mention into a drafted reply in one click

Your account, your approval
Some tools post for you from accounts they manage, in bulk. AppearsIn is built the other way round.
Hands-off, managed-account services
- Comments come from accounts you do not control
- Posting at a volume a person would not keep up
- Often no approval before a reply goes out
- A ban or a callout lands on a brand that was not in the thread
AppearsIn
- Posts only from the Reddit account signed in to your browser
- You approve each draft, or set daily limits the server enforces
- Disclose your connection in your own name
- Stops itself if the account is suspended or comments are removed

Control, in three places
Decide what is said
Every draft waits in a queue with a match percent and a reason. Edit it, ask for a rewrite, or skip it. Choose which kinds of draft need your review before they can post.
Decide how fast
A first-week ramp is a hard ceiling, and a gap and a random wait sit between posts. (Example values.)
Stops when something is wrong
Posting pauses if Reddit reports the account as suspended or removes two of the last five comments. It backs off when Reddit says you are posting too fast, skips communities that banned you, and has a pause button and a kill switch.
Why Reddit
3.11%
of all AI citations went to Reddit, the highest share of any domain in Profound's analysis of more than four billion citations.
#1
cited domain on Perplexity, and second on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Grok, in the same analysis.
~1 year
was the average age of a cited post, so an older thread that still ranks can still be used.
Source: Profound, produced with Reddit. Shares move from month to month. Why AI answers cite Reddit explains the data and the risks.

Questions
What is AppearsIn?
AppearsIn is software that helps a brand get named in AI answers through Reddit. It checks whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark name your brand for the questions your buyers ask, finds the Reddit threads that already rank on Google for those questions, drafts one reply per thread in your voice, and posts it from your own Reddit account after you approve it.
Does AppearsIn track mentions outside Reddit?
Yes. Each week it searches Google for your name, your alternate spellings and each competitor, on Reddit and across the web, and keeps the results that name them, with a sentiment. For your own brand it also looks at X, YouTube, Quora, Hacker News, blogs such as Medium, Substack and dev.to, and directories and review sites such as Product Hunt, G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and AlternativeTo. Only Reddit threads can become a drafted reply.
Why does Reddit matter for AI answers?
AI assistants cite Reddit more than almost any other site. Profound's analysis of more than four billion citations, produced with Reddit, found it the most cited domain across the engines it tracked. Reddit threads are direct questions with first-hand answers and many rank on Google, which makes them easy for an assistant to retrieve and quote.
Which AI engines does the score cover?
ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark. We record whether each answer names your brand, what it says about you and which pages it cites. For every question you track, ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini and Perplexity are checked weekly, and Claude, Meta Muse Spark and Grok about once a month.
Who posts the comment?
You do, through the extension. It posts a draft you approved from the Reddit account signed in to your browser, either when you press a button or automatically within daily limits you set. AppearsIn never holds your Reddit password and does not post from accounts it manages.
Is it safe for my Reddit account?
No tool can make promotion on Reddit risk free, but AppearsIn is built around guardrails. A person approves drafts, automatic posting follows a first-week ramp and daily limits, drafts that name your product wait until the account has 10 comment karma, and posting stops if the account is suspended or comments are removed. It does not vote, browse or use extra accounts.
What does the 10 comment karma hold do?
Drafts that name your product, an alias or your website stay in review until the connected Reddit account has 10 comment karma, and new drafts are written without the name until then. It is our own rule of thumb for a basic amount of history, not a Reddit rule, and many communities want more. Skip warmup turns it off.
How often are answers and threads checked?
Your Reddit threads are scanned weekly. For AI answers, ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini and Perplexity are checked weekly and Claude, Meta Muse Spark and Grok about once a month, on every plan. Your first scan starts as soon as you finish setup.
How much does it cost?
Lite is $49 a month, Starter $99, Growth $199 and Pro $399, with 20 percent off on annual billing. There is no free trial, and you can cancel any time. Every plan includes unlimited members. Every plan checks the four cheaper engines weekly and the three costliest (Claude, Meta Muse Spark and Grok) about monthly. Lite tracks 20 questions. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
How is AppearsIn different from other Reddit marketing tools?
It posts only from your own account, keeps a person approving each reply, and pairs the Reddit work with a score of whether AI engines name you. It does not send DMs, upvote or run managed accounts. The alternatives pages compare it with ReddGrow, Bazzly, ReplyAgent, Redreach, Subreddit Signals, F5Bot, Syften, Octolens, Brand24 and Reddit Pro.
